Each step is built around doing the work, with a facilitator who asks rather than lectures. Read about how we teach

1. 1

   Week 1, Tests you can trust

   Join the team and its board. Write the test before the code, watch it fail for the right reason, and learn to tell a test that tells the truth from one that only looks green.

2. 2

   Week 2, Real data, real mess

   Connect to a public data service that has no API, serves spreadsheets and fails in every way. Wrap it so your own code stays testable, and make every failure loud instead of quietly wrong.

3. 3

   Week 3, Rules you can prove

   Turn housing figures into calculations, state the rules each one must obey, and prove every rule with a test before it reaches a user.

4. 4

   Week 4, A system that remembers

   Storage that never loses a fact and time you control inside a test. Pair on every change and review each other's pull requests, the way a strong team does.

5. 5

   Week 5, Ship it

   Put the whole system on the web, deploy it and watch it running. Choose and scope a story of your own, then demonstrate the work to an outside guest.

6. 6

   Week 6, Your work, your job search

   Turn what you merged into a CV, a GitHub profile that shows how you work, and a practice interview with feedback, so the next person you talk to sees the evidence.

What you leave with

Taught live in a small group, remote over video, inside EkoFlow, our open source development environment.

• Six weeks online, from Saturday 14 November to Wednesday 23 December, finished before Christmas
• Three live sessions a week: Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday late morning, so it fits around a job
• Worked as a real team: standups, tickets from a real board, pairing, and pull request review the way a strong team does it
• One real product built test first, with no mock anywhere: the Greek housing observatory
• A last week that turns your work into a job search: your CV, your GitHub profile and a practice interview
• Your own fork with every pull request you merged through the gate, a portfolio of how you work, and the belt you earned in the dojo beside it
• A certificate of completion naming the four capabilities
• The Solo plan on this platform, yours forever

After you book

1. 1

   Your receipt, straight away

   Paddle, our merchant of record, takes the payment securely and emails your receipt.

2. 2

   A message from a person

   Within 2 working days we write with everything you need to start: the video link, the team board and how to set up.

3. 3

   The first session, 14 November

   You meet the team, the board and the product, and write your first test that day.

4. 4

   After the last session

   Your fork, your belt and your certificate stay yours, with the Solo plan on this platform.
