The engine
Real engineering is the training.
No quizzes and no synthetic challenges. The Dojo watches the work you already do and turns it into progress.
Connect your repo
Sign in with GitHub and point the Dojo at a repository you own. Public repos work out of the box, no setup rituals.
We measure the real signals
Every pull request is read for merge rate, lead time, rework, size and code health. The same signals a strong reviewer looks for.
Level up
Good engineering earns XP and badges and moves your belt onward, from Apprentice all the way to Sensei.
The disciplines
What the Dojo rewards.
Every belt is earned by practising the habits of a rigorous engineer. Here is what moves the needle, and how it is measured.
Test-driven development
Tests that land with the change, not bolted on after. The Dojo favours code that arrives proven.
Right-sized pull requests
Small, reviewable changes score highest. PRs under 200 lines merge faster and break less.
Low rework
Changes that merge cleanly beat the ones reopened and rewritten. Getting it right is rewarded.
Fast, clean merges
Short lead time from open to merge, measured with DORA. Momentum you can see week to week.
Code health
Static analysis from Qodana keeps quality visible, so clean scans count as much as green tests.
Consistency
Streaks reward showing up and shipping, week after week. Mastery is a habit, not a sprint.
The school
The school behind the game
The habits the dojo scores are the habits ÈkóHacks teaches. Courses teach them live, private lessons coach them one to one, and the dojo is where they are practised and proven, in your own repositories, every working day.

The path to mastery
Five belts, earned not given.
Every belt sits on a threshold of XP you can only reach through real, merged work. No shortcuts on the mat.

Grow the whole team, not just the individual.
- Cohorts and squads. Group your engineers the way your org actually works, then track each squad on its own.
- DORA at team level. Deployment frequency, lead time and pipeline health, rolled up for the whole team.
- Spot who needs mentoring. The dashboard surfaces a bottleneck or a stalling belt before it becomes a problem.
